Woodside Priory School, Performing Arts Center
Woodside Priory School is an independent, co-ed college preparatory school for grades 6-12 in the Benedictine tradition. The performing arts center complex consists of three buildings and is sited on a central plaza that encourages outside gathering and defines the school’s primary entrance.
Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided full-scope theatre and audio-video consulting for the Rothrock Performance Hall, shop, chorus studio, band room and black box lab.
The audio-video scope included audio reinforcement, projection, show effects, backstage communications and archival recording. Students are provided with scaled down versions of the current technology that is used in higher education programs and professional theatres. The complement of systems, infrastructure and the design of the theatres and support spaces affords the opportunity for effective training and experience, preparing the students of Woodside Priory School for their continuing education with a solid foundation in the performing arts on and off the stage.
Designed with green building principles in mind, this performing arts center is LEED registered.
