Santa Cruz High School Auditorium Renovation

The magnitude of the renovation and reconstruction of Santa Cruz High School’s 700-seat auditorium called for substantial changes to the existing architecture and was extended to include the addition of side galleries in the balcony. The renovated venue provides a warm community atmosphere and an improved space for theatre and community use. Auerbach Pollock Friedlander was the theatre and audio-video consultant for the project, which included improvement to theatrical lighting positions and upgrades to the technical systems.

Completed in time for the town’s millennium festivities, the space is designed with the front area of the audience chamber left flat, which allows for a greater variety of events.
