Al Habtoor City, La Perle by Dragone Theatre

Located in Al Habtoor City, La Perle is the first permanent aqua-based show in Dubai. The production is housed in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built theatre designed by Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, in collaboration with design architect Khatib & Alami and acoustician Jaffe Holden. Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided theatre and audio-video consulting services. The design team worked closely with the owner, Al Habtoor Group, and Dragone – the show producer.

The show takes place above, in and under the surface of the water. Performers execute aerial acrobatics and impressive underwater feats enhanced by the technical capabilities of the venue like hydraulic lifts, winches and fountains. Entertainers will dive from heights up to 35 meters and will use winches that enable them to travel at speeds up to 15 kilometers an hour. These dramatic feats are achieved with the support of 70 specialized technicians who will work with the cast of 65 artists performing 450 shows per year.

Al Habtoor City is a comprised of three luxury residential towers and three hotels: St. Regis, Westin and the W, as well as a tennis club, dining and retail.
