Agua Caliente Casino, The Show Concert Theatre
Built as a companion to the Agua Caliente Casino on land owned by the Band of Cahuilla Indians, The Show Concert Theatre was designed with excellent sightlines and acoustics for a variety of patron seating experiences supported by flexible staging configurations with an emphasis on amplified concerts. With a seating capability of up to 2,018, this multi-use headliner room also hosts televised Ultimate Fighting Championship matches, as well as stand-up comedy, fashion shows, dining and other special events.
In order to accommodate the owner’s desire for a first class concert experience for both general admission and luxury suite patrons, Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, in collaboration with Delawie Wilkes Rodriguez and Barker, designed an intimate yet comfortable venue, utilizing steep sightlines and reduced viewing distances. A flexible, flat floor seating area in front of the stage extends performance areas for musicians, runways, fight rings and passerelles. Access for rigging overhead utilizes high steel, catwalks, permanent fall protection and chain hoists to afford riggers great flexibility.
An adaptable audio infrastructure system – video systems which encompass the lobby, front of house, and theatre – as well as the theatrical lighting control and distribution, were designed to both incorporate the most advanced technology and allow for future technological advancements.
