The 1.4 million square foot Conference Center is sited on a square city block with generous outdoor plazas, water features and a four-acre roof garden. Custom designed light fixtures are installed throughout the 10–acre Conference Center site.

For Main Street Plaza, the exterior lighting presents a gently lit urban park environment for the pedestrian promenade. Reflected light from the buildings and specific lighting of circulation paths evoke the grand traditions of great public places. The same custom designed pole fixtures that are used on the Conference Center site provide a general unifying thread, in daytime as well as at night.

With the success of the Conference Center and Main Street Plaza, Apeiro Design (Auerbach Glasow) was hired to design a master plan for LDS’s downtown Salt Lake City property. The master plan continues the pedestrian pole lighting developed for the earlier projects, as well as the lighting of sculpture and water features.
