University of Southern California
Bovard Auditorium
Los Angeles, California

Renovation of 1,300-seat historic theatre and campus landmark located in the University of Southern California's Administration Building. Bovard Auditorium is an interim concert hall for the University orchestra while planning for a future performing arts center. Typically a multi-purpose venue, special attention was given to improving Bovard's use for acoustic music and amplified events. Lobby space on two levels, seating reconfiguration, improved sightlines, a flexible stage extension system and a glass-enclosed control suite were all part of the renovation.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander completed the renovation with the same team responsible for the school's Renovation Master Plan initiated in the late 1990s.
