Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided full scope theatre consulting for the new Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts. The $63.5 million Center is home to the University’s Lamont School of Music and Department of Theatre, providing both with live performance venues and instructional facilities including • June Swaner Gates Concert Hall – a 950-seat space configured for symphonic performances and fully-staged operas • Frederick C. Hamilton Family Recital Hall – a 250-seat music room and home of the William K. Coors Organ • Elizabeth Eriksen Byron “Flexible” Theatre – a drama performance laboratory that seats up to 300 in various seating /staging arrangements Lamont School of Music facilities, including Hamilton Hall, were informally opened to students during the Spring semester, 2003.
