Vancouver International Airport International Terminal

Vancouver International Airport, International Terminal Building
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

A 1 million square foot expansion of the existing terminal consisting of a completely new building to house international arrivals and departures. The building features dramatic vistas across the sea to the mountains beyond the City of Vancouver augmented by architectural metaphors for regional themes related to British Columbia. Lighting elements were carefully integrated into the overall architectural lighting design through a close collaboration with all members of the design team. Our services included architectural lighting for all public space in the building as well as the exterior facade through all phases of construction. The new International Terminal opened to the public on May 1, 1996.
