Niketown Honolulu Honolulu, Hawaii This 31,960 square foot retail showpiece displays the breadth of Nike footwear, apparel, accessories, and equipment, and also tells the story and history of Nike through the use of videos and visual exhibits. Lighting is integrated into the many diverse architectural elements, including the custom curved steel ceiling structure. The final lighting design gave the pavilions a distinct sense of place, strongly highlighting the merchandise so that the products stand out. Negative space, or darker zones, create a sense of the dramatic. Playful elements were added to many of the pavilions to augment the upbeat atmosphere. Client: BOORA Architects Owner: Nike, Inc.
