ERIK LARSON

Erik Larson brings first hand experience as a freelance sound designer, engineer and sound, video and communication systems consultant to Auerbach Pollock Friedlander’s San Francisco office.

At Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Mr. Larson specializes in the design of sound, video, and communication systems for a range of projects including theatres, gymnasiums, lecture halls, auditoriums and conference rooms. His project experience includes the African American Cultural Center theatre, Los Angeles Valley College theatres, Clovis Memorial District Conference Center lecture hall, Sonoma Academy black box theatre, Napa Valley College theatre and the Woodside Priory School theatre.

Prior to joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, his consulting experience includes projects such as Rose Hall, the Allen Room, and Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnival Concert Hall, Ziff Ballet Opera House and Studio Theatre at the Miami Performing Arts Center, and the Skirball Theatre at New York University. Mr. Larson worked at various levels of sound production for On-Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and summerstock theatrical productions. His live sound experience includes concerts for musicians such as Taj Mahal, Herbie Hancock, Elton John, and Wynton Marsalis and recordings for the Kronos Quartet and other musicians. He worked on audio for the 2001 New Year’s Eve live broadcast from Times Square as well as internet broadcasts for AOL. Mr. Larson spent two and a half years as a front of house and monitor sound engineer for The Times Square Church in New York City.

Mr. Larson received his B.F.A in sound design and engineering from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
