Ed Babin joined Auerbach Pollock Friedlander’s San Francisco office in 1997 where he currently serves as a technical designer and the network administrator. In his role as technical designer, Mr. Babin has collaborated with principals and project managers on design solutions for a wide range of projects including educational and research facilities, opera houses, performing arts centers, planetariums, and worship spaces. He has developed the firm’s audience seating and sightline programs and has been responsible for the development of dozens of audience environments.

His project experience includes the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California; Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at the University of California, Davis; the Conference Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Hayden Planetarium, Rose Center for Earth and Space, Museum of Natural History in New York City; New York New York Hotel and Casino, Zumanity: Another Side of Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, Nevada; MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, KÀ™ for Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, Nevada; MGM Mirage, Showroom for Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, Nevada; and the Judy and Arthur Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

As the firm’s network administrator, Mr. Babin is responsible for maintaining the office network, managing a consulting IT engineer, providing desktop support, managing server data and office mail accounts and maintaining and troubleshooting office hardware and software.

Before joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Mr. Babin worked at architecture and engineering firms in San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Washington, D.C. and collaborated on a variety of projects ranging from institutional and medical construction to residential and tenant improvement renovations. Mr. Babin earned a B.A. in architecture from Louisiana State University.
