GREG WEDDIG

Greg Weddig spent nine years working as the Audio Engineer at the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico. He recently performed the installation of the new sound, video and communication systems at the Opera’s new theatre. In addition he was the lead installation engineer for the Opera’s new Electronic Libretto System, a seat back supertitle system that is the second of it’s kind in the world. At Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Mr. Weddig has designed sound, video and communication systems for high school auditoriums, community theatres, screening rooms for digital cinema, videoconferencing facilities, concert halls and opera houses. His experience encompasses sound reinforcement systems, video projection and distribution, production communication and paging, infrared assistive-listening, supertitling, and recording and broadcast systems design and accommodation.
Mr. Weddig’s project experience includes the renovation of the California Fox Theatre in San Jose, a new planetarium for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Linfield College Concert Hall and Theatre, renovation of the planetarium at Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles, the Marin Academy High School Theatre, and the Electronic Arts Corporate Auditorium.
As a production audio engineer and sound designer, Mr. Weddig has worked with major theatre companies including Baltimore’s Center Stage, the Berkeley Rep in Berkeley and the New Mexico’s renowned Santa Fe Opera.
Mr. Weddig received his B.F.A. in Theatre Production from the University of WisconsinMilwaukee’s Professional Theatre Training Program. The PTTP is a conservatory training program for theatre technicians.
