Kent Conrad brings a wide range of theatrical experience to Auerbach Pollock Friedlander. He has acted as consultant on many theatre facilities and projects and has had a long career in the professional regional theatre. During his time at Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Mr. Conrad has worked on a number of projects including: Mesa Arts Center, Napa High School, Westminster Community Arts Center, Harvard Westlake School, Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, Herberger Theatre and University of California, Merced.
Before joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, he completed two projects for Walt Disney Entertainment at the newest Disney theme park in Japan, Tokyo DisneySea. These included consulting on the Broadway Music Theatre and Cape Cod Theatre facilities within the new theme park. He also was technical director for the shows performing in each theatre including the large musical production, Encore!
Mr. Conrad has collaborated on the design of a variety of other theatres including the Temple of Music and Art, the One in Ten Theatre at the Historic YMCA, and the Tohono Chul Amphitheatre in Tucson, Arizona; the Ginger Rogers / Craterian Theatre in Medford, Oregon; and the Snowmass Festival Theatre in Snowmass, Colorado. Other projects include UCLA lighting laboratory.
He has been production manager for the Arizona Theatre Company, UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television and Snowmass Festival of American Theatre. His work as production stage manager has included seasons at the Old Globe Theatre and Arizona Theatre Company. He has stage managed for Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Denver Center Theatre Company, Intiman Theatre and California Shakespeare Festival.
Mr. Conrad’s lighting and scenic design work has been seen at the Denver Center Theatre Company, Ensemble Theatre, American Theatre Company, Park City, Pioneer Theatre and the University of Utah. He has a B.F.A degree from the University of Utah in theatre design.
