Matthew Ezold brings to Auerbach Pollock Friedlander experience as a theatrical sound designer, production manager and facilities manager with a strong background in construction methods and materials. His design experience includes sound reinforcement and recording systems, computer playback systems, paging and communication systems, show control systems, closed circuit television and modulated video systems, theatrical lighting systems and theatrical rigging/staging systems.
Currently, Mr. Ezold is the project manager for the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Henderson Hall renovation and new Black Box Theater; Cooper Union’s New Academic Building Auditorium; The Public Theater facilities improvements; and the sound video and communications systems portion of the MGM City Center Cirque du Soleil Elvis Theatre.
Mr. Ezold’s project experience since joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander in 2001 includes the New York New York Hotel and Casino, Zumanity: Another Side of Cirque du Soleil; MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, KÀ™ for Cirque du Soleil; Mirage Hotel and Casino, LOVE™ for Cirque du Soleil; Emerson College, Tufte Performance and Production Center; Columbus State University, Corn Center for the Arts; Purdue University, Visual and Performing Arts Center; the Inter-American Development Bank; the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center; the Borgata Hotel and Casino; Regent University; the Mount Vernon Orientation Center; the Denver Art Museum; The Staten Island Zoo Reptile House; and the War Memorial in Trenton, New Jersey.
Mr. Ezold received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The New York University Tisch School of the Arts where he specialized in theatrical sound design and systems engineering. Prior to joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander he served as the technical director for the Access Theater in New York City and as a freelance sound designer. Mr. Ezold is a Certified Technology Specialist from Infocomm International.
