Grace Gavin brings international experience in professional theatre and fine arts to her consulting work. Since joining Auerbach Pollock Friedlander in 1996, Ms. Gavin has worked as a theatre consultant on a variety of projects ranging from historic renovations to regional multi-purpose rooms to large multi-venue performing arts complexes throughout the world.

Currently, Ms. Gavin is the project manager for the Signature Theatre Company at the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s new Symphony Center, the Department of Theatre and Visual Arts at Columbus State University in Georgia and the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Purdue University.

Previous project work includes Carnegie Hall, Judy and Arthur Zankel Hall in New York City; the Aspen Music Festival; the Borgata Casino and Spa in Atlantic City; the Hard Rock Café: New York, Memphis and Orlando; Petrosains Discovery Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; renovation of the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; the Purnell Center of the Arts at Carnegie Mellon University; and the Juilliard School of Music, New York.

Ms. Gavin joined Auerbach Pollock Friedlander after spending two years in Asia where she lectured on stage lighting at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as well as designing performance lighting and consulting on the design of theatre lighting systems throughout Asia. As a theatre professional, Ms. Gavin has worked at the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Seoul Arts Centre, La Jolla Playhouse, Minneapolis New Theatre, Syracuse Stage and New York’s Henry Street Settlement Theatre.

Ms. Gavin received a Master of Fine Arts from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College, graduating with departmental honors from both institutions. Ms. Gavin also served as a visiting instructor at Indiana University, lecturing in stage lighting and theatre consulting.
